To Make Dressing
- In a small and dry fry pan, toast the uncooked Thai glutinous rice for about 2 minutes, continuously stirring until nice and golden.
- In a medium sized bowl, combine the fish sauce, lime, sugar, spring onion, shallots and chili flakes together. Mix until sugar has dissolved.
- To the sauce, add in the grounded glutinous rice, mint and coriander. Set aside.
To Make
- In a small bowl, marinate room temperature steak in soy sauce and white pepper. Ensure steak is evenly coated in the soy sauce. Set aside.
- Heat up a medium sized fry pan with oil to high heat and place the steak in. Cook on high heat for about 1-2 mins on each side until both sides are nice and charred.
- Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Once rested, slice into strips.
- Add the steak into the dressing bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Serve with cabbage, cucumber slices and rice.
