To Make
- In a small saucepan, heat up all teriyaki sauce ingredients except grated ginger on medium heat until boiling. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 3 mins before adding in the grated ginger. Continue to simmer for 1 min.
- Mix corn flour with water to make a slurry and pour into the simmering teriyaki sauce. Let the sauce thicken and set aside.
- Heat up water in a pot and cook udon following instructions on packaging. Once noodles are cooked, move them into a pot of cold water for 30 secs and drain. Set aside.
- Heat up frying pan or wok with cooking oil and sauté onion till soften. Add in cabbage and carrot, spread out and let it sear for a 3-5 mins until the cabbage get a slight charring.
- Add in garlic, stir for a bit and add in beef strips. Cook for 2-3 mins till beef is 80 cook, toss in the cooked udon and continue to fry for a min.
- Add in teriyaki sauce and stir till well for 2-3 mins. Serves hot.
