Malaysia’s Culinary Melting Pot

Malaysia is a bubbling, bustling melting pot of races and religions where Malays, Indians, Chinese and many other ethnic groups live together peacefully and harmonically. Geographically, Malaysia is almost as diverse as its culture with 13 states and 3 federal territories.

Therefore, a culinary diversity originating from its multi-ethnic population had been in evolution since 15th century. Furthermore, Malaysian cuisine also draws on the influences of its neighbouring countries, their histories and cultures, which combines to create an array of distinctive dishes.
