Opened since 2004 as a cuisine haven for Thais in Sydney, Spice I Am has since won the love and praise of food critics garnered multiple awards, and named ‘probably the best Thai restaurant outside of Thailand’, with flocks of waiting for patrons at its doors every day.
Co-owner and Executive Head Chef Sujet Saenkham comes from a family of master Thai chefs, whose mother had served many officials and delegates in his Ratchaburi home province in Central Thailand. Sujet not only learned and mastered these traditional culinary skills but had also become a leading innovator of authentic Thai cuisine since starting his restaurant in Sydney. Today he is hailed by many as the most talented Thai Chef in the city, and still travels regularly to Thailand for the latest culinary trends, new inspirations and ingredients for his menu. Under his meticulous supervision, Sujet’s team of trained chefs prepare handmade spices and pastes for ultimate freshness and flavour in every dish.
Spice I Am’s menu encompasses a variety of Specials, Light Meals, Soups, Stir-fried Noodles, Salads and Rice Dishes, served with a range of spiciness guaranteed to surprise and satisfy your tastes buds.
Start your meal with a serving of Mieng Kuay Teaw (pork slithers and vegetables wrapped in rice paper) or a piquant Tom Yum Goong. Spice it up further with the Kang Som Pla fish curry, Basil Crispy Chicken or Larb and Green Papaya Salad. Other customer favourites are Massaman Curry Duck and the traditional Stir-fried Eggplant with garlic and shrimp paste. Then, cool it off with a Young Coconut Juice, Longan, Rosella, Bael Fruit or an Iced Tea of your choice.
Spice I Am is opened from Tuesdays to Sundays and is also available for home delivery with UBER EATS and DELIVEROO, between 11:30 am to 10 pm.
