To Prep
- Cut margarine block into smaller pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, add margarine, sugar and ground walnuts. Using a spatula, mix to combine the ingredients. Continue mixing until dough texture is not sticky.
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C.Pinch off some dough (about 1 tbsp) and lightly roll to form into a ball. Use your index finger to make a small depression in the center of each cookie. Place cookies onto a baking paper-lined tray. Leave room between each cookie as they will expand slightly when baked.
To Cook
- Brush cookies with egg wash and bake in preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 – 35 mins, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and cool completely on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
