To Make Tiger Sushi Roll
- Mix cooked sushi rice with sushi seasoning. Set aside.
- Beat eggs with water and filter through a sieve to remove impurities.
- Heat up a frying pan on medium heat with 1 tsp of oil. Pour half the beaten egg into pan, swirl the pan around, allowing the egg to cook.
- When the surface of the omelette starts to dry up, place the cut nori tiger stripes on top to replicate a tiger skin pattern.
- Remove omelette from the pan and leave to cool.
- Prepare a sushi mat (wrapped with plastic wrap) and place 1 piece of the nori sheet on the mat. Place one cup of cooked sushi rice onto nori and spread it around evenly leaving a 1cm border around the edges.
- Place 1 piece of lettuce on top of the rice and arrange the remaining filling ingredients on top.
- Roll up the sushi while squeezing the filling with a little pressure until you get to the end, then roll the sushi mat around again and tighten the sushi roll.
- Place one of the omelettes with tiger stripes onto the sushi mat with the stripes side facing down. Place one sushi roll over and roll to cover the sushi roll.
- Cover the completed sushi roll with a plastic wrap before using a very sharp knife to trim away both ends.
