To Prep
- In a big mixing bowl, mix all the main ingredients together until well combined. Let it marinate for 1hr to soak in all the flavours.
To Make Dumplings
- Prepare a small bowl of water on the side (acts as a seal for the dumplings).
- Scoop about 1½ tbsp of the marinated filling mixture onto the dumpling wrapper and dap some water around the edges to seal.
- Fold into half and pleat the edges. Place completed dumplings onto tray. Complete the rest.
- Heat a frying pan with oil and pan fry the dumplings (in batches) for about 3 mins on each side until they begin to brown and become lightly blistered.
- Then, pour in the water around the pan and cover for 4 mins to cook through.
- After this time. open the cover and leave the dumplings to crisp up before removing from pan and setting aside. Repeat with the other batches of dumplings.
- To make the dipping sauce, combine all the ingredients together and mix well.
- Finish off by garnishing dumplings with toasted black sesame seeds and spring onions. Serve with dipping sauce.
