To Make
- In a small, shallow bowl, combine lemongrass, garlic, ABC Sweet Soy Sauce Kecap Manis, soy sauce, sesame oil and pepper to make sauce.
- Add tofu to marinate in fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Add cornflour and egg to the tofu and marinade, mix to coat. Place breadcrumbs in a shallow plate, roll each tofu cube through to cover completely.
- In a small saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Deep-fry tofu in batches to avoid overcrowding pan for 2-3 mins or until golden. Drain on paper towel.
- In the same pan, pour out half the oil, then toss and fry beans for 2-3 mins or until blistered and crisp-tender.
- Plate tofu and beans on a bed of steamed rice, garnish with chilli. Serve with basil leaves and ABC Chilli Sauce Original or extra ABC Sweet Soy Sauce on the side.
