- This is a great recipe to use up leftover bread or bread that’s close to expiry. All you need is 3 ingredients – bread, butter and sugar. So to start, gather the ingredients.
- Preheat oven to 150°C.
- Generously butter each slice of bread and sprinkle with sugar. White coarse sugar works best for that extra crunch, but raw sugar works too.
- Lay the slices of bread on a baking tray and bake for about 15 mins or until bread is slightly browned and crisp.
- Remove from tray and onto cooling rack to completely cook before storing in an airtight container. Now, they store like biscuits and can be eaten over a much longer time.
