Beef with Black Bean and Celery
Beef with Black Bean and Chinese Celery Recipe


Add a special taste and flavour to your beef stir-fry recipe with black beans and some green, leafy Chinese celery. Try this easy Chinese Beef and Black Bean Recipe!

Ingredients:

500g beef stir-fry or skirt steak (sliced thinly)
1 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp rice wine
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 bunch chinese celery (washed and cut into 6-7cm pieces)
1 medium onion (sliced thinly)
4 shiitake mushrooms (soaked in warm water for 15 mins and sliced thinly)
2 tbsp black bean sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp cooking oil




Steps:
  1. Marinate beef for 15 mins in corn flour, dry sherry and oyster sauce.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in wok, toss celery for 2 mins and set aside.
  3. Heat remaining oil in wok and add garlic, onion and mushrooms; stir-fry for 1 min.
  4. Add beef and stir-fry for a further 3 mins.
  5. Add black beans, sesame oil and chinese celery.
  6. Combine well and serve with steamed jasmine rice.

Chinese celery is a stronger tasting relative of regular celery.
