About
After closing his popular Bangkok restaurant The Kitchen by Chef Mod, Chef Mod Pittayarat opened up this cozy little cafe in the heart of Glen Huntly.
On the menu are dishes that combine authentic Thai flavours with Western techniques and modern plating, such as Smoked Duck Breast with Wild Fruit (which is brought to you under a dramatic smoke-filled cloche) and the succulent Bacon-wrapped Pork Pad Krapow. Another must-try dish is the Green Curry Grilled Beef featured on the Channel 10 show The Cook’s Pantry, served as a perfectly cooked, sliced steak with heirloom carrots and a creamy green curry sauce. Alongside the usual coffee menu fixtures, the Thai Tea Latte and Pineapple Basil ice blended are two Thai fusion drinks you should also give a go.
Open for a late breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monkeys’ Uncle is the place to go for classic Thai with a modern touch.
