Manned by owner Ayden Graham, Kuura Tea Studio is a modern take of the the traditional Asian teahouse—a minimalist space purely for the enjoyment of teas.
Kuura stocks five types of tea—raw and ripe puer, black, white, green and oolong. Tea leaves at Kuura are sourced yearly in the tea mountains of Yunnan, China. They are then processed/aged, hand-pressed into cakes, wrapped in a paper (which he designed himself), meticulously creased (for that unboxing pleasure), and given new cool names—Discreet Ripe Puer and Vector Raw Puer. A collection of teaware is also available at the retail space.
Sniff, touch and taste. There are no particular set of rules to appreciate tea. The first hit is FREE (so says the sign), so what better way to learn about tea but to drink it?
