To Make
In a small bowl, mix sugar, soy sauce, mirin, and sake. Set aside.
- Wrap tofu with paper towel, place on microwave-safe dish and heat for 90 seconds on 600w. Cool slightly, cut and coat with corn flour.
- In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat and cook tofu on all sides.
- Reduce heat to low, pour sauce mixture and cook until the sauce coats all over tofu and slightly thickens.
- Arrange tofu on steamed rice, drizzle sauce and top with spring onion. Enjoy!
