Black Pepper Chicken Wings
Black Pepper Chicken Wings


Peppered chicken wings stewed with bamboo shoots and champignon. Try this Straits black pepper chicken wings recipe.

Ingredients:

10 chicken wings
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp black pepper (coarsely ground)
3 tbsp oil
1 onion (julienned)
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
4 tbsp ABC Sweet Soy Sauce (Kecap Manis
300ml water
100g canned champignon mushrooms (sliced)
150g bamboo shoots (parboiled and chopped)
1 tsp sesame oil




Steps:
  1. Rub salt into chicken wing pieces and set aside for 15 mins. Then shallow-fry until golden in colour of half-done. Remove from fry pan and drain.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Add sweet soy sauce and water. Bring to the boil.
  3. Add chicken wings, mushrooms and bamboo shoots and cook until sauce condenses and thick. Add salt to taste. Add black pepper and sesame oil. Stir to combine and remove from heat. Serve.

Tip: Can use fresh mushrooms instead of canned mushrooms.
