Clay Pot

Clay pot cooking is a process of cooking food in a pot made from unglazed & natural clay. This traditional way of cooking is best suited for bigger, tougher pieces of meat such as spare ribs or chuck steak over a long period of time, which helps retain both flavour and tenderness. Clay pots often have rounded bottoms to allow them to sit comfortably over flames, and are good for cooking curries since the thickness of the pot allows the curries to cook slowly, with heat being evenly distributed. This allows flavours and aromas to be released from the pastes gently without burning. The attractiveness of the pots also allows them to be used as serving dishes at the table.
