Warm Char Siu Salad


This is a perfect salad for a light summer meal or a picnic/barbie. Try this Chinese recipe.

Ingredients:

300g pork fillet
3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce
1 Chinese lettuce (washed)
½ bunch watercress (washed)
1 bunch asparagus (washed and cut into 7cm pieces, then blanched)

Dressing
35ml distilled vinegar or rice vinegar
20ml Yeo's Sesame Oil
50ml Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
70ml canola oil (or olive oil)
½ tbsp Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic
1 stalk spring onion (finely chopped)




Steps:
  1. Marinate pork in char siu sauce for at least 2 hrs.
  2. Bake at 200°C on a rack over a baking tray filled with 2.5cm of water for 20 mins, or until cooked. Allow to rest and slice thinly.
  3. Prepare salad and mix the dressing ingredients.
  4. Arrange salad on a plate.
  5. Top with the dressing and slices of warm char siu and serve immediately.
