Temaki Zushi
Hand Rolled Rushi (Temaki Sushi)


Similar to sushi rolls, these hand rolls can also be made at home. Stuff with your favourite fillings; the kids can roll their own too. Try this Japanese dish.

Ingredients:

6 nori seaweed
450g sushi rice
500ml water
39g powdered sushi mix

Suggested fillings

cooked chicken
thinly sliced beef
tuna (fresh or canned)
prawns
cucumber
carrot
asparagus




Steps:
  1. Prepare sushi rice.
  2. Cut nori sheets in half. Place sushi rice and desired fillings onto one side of nori.
  3. Fold the nearest corner of the nori over the filling and start to shape.
  4. The finished hand roll should be shaped conically to prevent any rice from falling out from the bottom.
  5. Serve with wasabi dissolved in soy sauce.
