Sweet and Sour Beef
Sweet & Sour Beef


Recreate this classic family favourite Chinese dish at home in under 15 minutes! You can replace the beef with chicken, pork or fish.

Ingredients:

500g lean beef (cut into strips)
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp corn flour
2 tbsp oil
½ onion (sliced)
½ green capsicum (cut into strips)
2 canned pineapple rings (drained and sliced)
1 jar (approx 240g) sweet and sour sauce




Steps:
  1. Combine beef with oyster sauce, corn flour and 1 tsp of oil in a bowl.
  2. Heat a fry pan or wok over high heat. Add remaining oil and stir-fry onion for 1-2 mins. Add beef and stir-fry for 2-3 mins. Add capsicum and continue stir-frying for 3 mins.
  3. Stir in pineapple, followed by the sweet and sour sauce. Cook for another 2-3 mins.
