Japanese Wasabi Yakiniku Beef on Rice Recipe for a quick and easy meal on a busy weeknight or for a quick lunch. Nothing is more satisfying than this delicious meal.

Ingredients:

500g beef steak (sliced)
black pepper (ground)
2 bowls rice (cooked)

Wasabi Yakiniku sauce

6 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp cooking sake
6 tbsp apple sauce
1½ tbsp sugar
1 tbsp S&B Wasabi Paste
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic (minced)
roasted sesame seeds
spring onions (thinly sliced, as garnished)




Steps:
  1. For sauce, bring cooking sake to the boil. Remove from heat and add remaining sauce ingredients. Whisk well, set aside.
  2. Sprinkle beef with pepper. Heat oil in frying pan over high heat, brown both sides of beef. Add 5 tbsp sauce, toss well and remove from heat.
  3. Arrange beef over rice, top with remaining sauce, garnish with spring onions.
