Japanese Salmon Burgers
Quick and easy Korean recipes


These burgers are made with a Japanese twist by combining together the unique flavours of wasabi, nori and mayonnaise. These quick and easy burgers are delicious and great for lunch.

Ingredients:

2 fillets salmon
1½ cups mashed potato
2 tsp S&B Wasabi Paste
1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
1 sheet Nori (finely chopped)
1 egg
½ cup water
300g Obento Panko Breadcrumbs
oil (for frying)
2 cups shredded vegetables
1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
1 lime (zested and juiced)
½ tsp Japanese chilli pepper seasoning
4 toasted hambuger buns
Kewpie Mayonnaise (to serve)




Steps:
  1. Place the salmon, mashed potato, wasabi and soy sauce into the work bowl of a food processor and process until well-combined.
  2. Place salmon mixture into a large bowl and stir through finely chopped nori. Using wet hands shape the mixture into patties.
  3. Whisk together the egg and water until well-combined. Dip the patties into the egg mixture, then press mixture into the crumbs firmly.
  4. Heat oil over medium heat for 2 mins and fry the patties for 2-3 mins on each side until golden.
  5. Combine the vegetables with the soy sauce, lime zest and juice, chilli pepper seasoning and wasabi paste.
  6. Spread a little mayonnaise on the base of the toasted bun, top with salad and salmon patty. Finish with toasted hamburger bun and serve immediately.

Note: Salmon may be replaced with any thick-fleshed fish in season.
