Fried Chinese Meat Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients:

250g cabbage or bok choy
150g minced pork or beef
1 green onion (diced)
75ml water
3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Chilli Bean Sauce (to serve)

Marinade

1½ tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce
½ tsp Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil
½ tsp cornstarch

Dough

150g plain flour
75ml hot water




Steps:
  1. Marinate minced meat for 15 mins.
  2. Cook cabbage in boiling water until tender. Drain. Chop into small pieces and squeeze out water.
  3. Add cabbage and green onion to minced meat, mix well to create the dumpling filling. Divide into 12 equal portions.
  4. Sieve flour. Add hot water and knead to form a soft and smooth dough.
  5. Form dough into a roll and divide into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a round ball.
  6. Flatten each ball. Place filling in the centre. Wrap filling with round dough to form dumplings.
  7. Heat 1 tbsp oil. Pan-fry dumplings over moderate heat until the bottom is golden yellow. Pour in water, cover and cook on low heat until all water is absorbed. Add 2 tsp oil and fry dumpling for another minute.
  8. Serve this Fried Chinese meat dumplings with Lee Kum Kee Chilli Bean Sauce
