Filipino Minced Pork With Green Beans (Gising Gising)

Ingredients:

1 tsp oil
1 onion (peeled, finely chopped)
2 cloves garlic (peeled, finely minced)
500g minced pork
1 tbsp shrimp paste
2 cups coconut milk
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
4 Thai chilli (finely chopped)
1 cup coconut cream
500g green beans (cut into 1cm, lengthwise)




Steps:
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant. Then add minced pork and cook until lightly brown. Add shrimp paste and continue stir-frying for 5 mins. Add coconut milk and bring to boil. Add in chili then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Bring down the heat and allow to simmer for 15 mins or until pork is well cooked.
  3. Then add coconut cream and green beans, stir well to combine and then continue to cook for a further 15 mins.
