Daeji Bulgogi - Korean Chilli Pork recipe


Daeji bulgogi is a super simple and super easy recipe. Try this on a lazy afternoon, it will hardly take any time to be made, but the taste is sure to last forever.
Cooking Time: 15mins - 30mins
Serves:3 to 4
Total time: > 120mins

Ingredients:

500g pork belly or pork neck (sliced)
2-3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
1 tsp ginger (finely minced)
2 green onions (chopped)
2-3 tbsp kochujang (Korean chilli paste)
1-2 tbsp soy sauce
½ tbsp kochugaru (Korean chilli powder)
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cooking sake
1 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp sesame oil
¼ tsp ground black pepper




Steps:
  1. Marinate pork with the rest of the ingredients for several hours or overnight in the fridge.
  2. Pan-fry for 10 mins or grill on high for 15-20 mins or until the pork is cooked. Turn the meat over a few times during cooking. Serve with rice and kimchi.
  3. Your daeji bulgogi is ready.

N.B. If using sliced pork neck it’s best to marinate the meat for at least 12 hrs in the fridge.
