Crispy Black Bean Fish


Pieces of crispy, golden fish coated with a pungent black-bean garlic sauce steam atop makes for a delicious melt-in-your-mouth Chinese recipe.

Ingredients:

1 large fillet of blue grenadier or any firm fish
corn flour for dusting fish
1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Black Bean Garlic Sauce
½ cup water
¼ tsp Yeo's Sesame Oil
1 stalk spring onion (chopped, for garnish)
oil (for shallow frying)




Steps:
  1. Heat oil in fry pan or wok.
  2. Place flour on a plate and cover fish well on both sides.
  3. When oil is very hot, place fish in the pan and leave for 5 mins. Turn over and cook for another 5 mins. Both sides should be very crispy and golden.
  4. In a saucepan, add the sauces and water and simmer.
  5. Place fish on a plate and pour over the sauce and garnish with spring onion.
