Chicken in Red Sauce
Thai Chicken in Red Sauce Recipe


There are two components to chicken in red sauce recipe; the red sauce used in this dish is a combination of Thai ingredients and the chicken needs to be marinated beforehand

Ingredients:

Marinade

1kg chicken breast (rinsed and drained)
½ can TCC Coconut Milk
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground turmeric

Red sauce

1 large onion (chopped)
600ml TCC Coconut Milk
2 tbsp Squid Fish Sauce
1½ tbsp Jeeny's Palm Sugar
3 tbsp ground sweet paprika
2 tbsp vegetable oil




Steps:
  1. Marinate chicken in coconut milk, salt and turmeric for at least 3 hrs.
  2. Grill over medium coals for 10 mins on either side until cooked.
  3. Slice chicken into pieces.
  4. Blend onion, coconut milk and sweet paprika to a paste.
  5. Heat a pan and add paste and stir over low heat.
  6. Season the sauce with palm sugar and fish sauce.
  7. Pour over the chicken.
