Ae-Hobak Namul (Sauteed Zuchini)


Yet another favourite, the ae-hobak namul (seasoned zucchini) can take on any flavours to your liking; whether sweet or savoury. Enjoy the ae-hobak namul in your bibimbap (mixed rice) or on its own as a banchan (side dish).

Ingredients:

230g zucchini
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 red pepper (julienned)

Seasoning

1 tbsp salted tiny shrimps
1 tbsp garlic (thinly sliced)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds




Steps:
  1. Combine the seasoning ingredients. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Cut zucchini into half and thinly slice the zucchini into half-moon shapes.
  3. On a hot pan, add the sesame oil and sliced zucchini. Saute until al dente.
  4. Next, add seasoning ingredients to the pan. Saute and mix well with the zucchini.
  5. Add the julienned red pepper to the pan mixture and saute; making the squash ban chan. Transfer to a serving dish and serve.
