1. Freeze the lime juice in ice trays

Squeeze the juice from the extra limes into a bowl and fill an ice-cube tray with the liquid and store it in the freezer for 24 hours.  You could use the concentrated lime juice ice cubes to make summer coolers and cocktails.

3. Clean your chopping board

Tired of those brown stains on your chopping board? All that you have to do is squeeze the juice of a lemon over your cutting board/chopping after you’ve washed it and leave it for sometime. This will help fade the stains and also keep the board clean.

4. Make your own fruit and veggie wash

Good riddance to pesticides. Just mix together 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 2 Tbsp vinegar, and 1 Cup water in a bowl and soak your fruits and veggies before using them. This will ensure that the fruits are clean and easy to consume.

5. Get the stains off your greasy dishes

Having a tough time getting those greasy stains of your oily skillet or wok? Just give the skillet a quick rub with a wedge of lime and soak it in warm water for about 15 minutes. Your greasy skillet will shine like a star! Make use of these lemony hacks in your kitchen and you’ll never run out of ideas to use lemons when you have them in abundance.
