Jellyfish salad is one of the many adored texture foods of the Chinese. It is often eaten at Chinese banquets and special occasions.

Jellyfish is served as one of the appetizers in a cold assortment at banquets, or presented as a salad with shredded vegetables such as cucumber, carrots, spring onions and sometimes chicken to bulk up the dish.

Jellyfish tastes great when served cold and tossed with green onions and toasted sesame oil. Contrary to popular belief, jellyfish is not slimy, and is in fact crunchy, like raw clams. It is utterly tasteless, but it is loved for its crunchy texture. It acquires the flavour during cooking.

Jelly fish contains a lot of nutrition that the human body needs, especially iodine. At the same time, jelly fish is good for our digestive system and joints.
