The Straits of Johor (otherwise called the Tebrau Strait, Johor Strait, Selat Johor, Selat Tebrau, and Tebrau Reach) is a strait that differentiates the Malaysian state of Johor (on Eurasian territory to the north) from Singapore to the south.
There are, at present, two man-made area associations over the straits. The Johor-Singapore Causeway, referred to just as “The Causeway”, joins Johor Bahru and Woodlands in Singapore, while an extension, known as the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link, further west of the straits joins Gelang Patah in Johor and Tuas in Singapore.
Straits of Johor‘s most acclaimed vacation destination is the Lido Beach, placed on the Malaysian side of the straits. Here, you can walk or cycle along the 2 km stretch of the shoreline.
