The Doi Suthep-Pui National Park

Located in the Chiang Mai province in Thailand, the Doi Suthep-Pui National Park is a national park with an abundance of flora, fauna, habitat and adventure. The park includes Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (a stunning Buddhist temple) and Bhubing Palace (which is the winter abode of King Bhumibol Adulyadej).

There are a myriad of activities in the park, including trekking, hiking, cave-touring, cycling, camping and bid-watching, among other interesting ones. At night, stargazing is an activity that draws considerable visitors. People also like to wake up in the early hours of the morning to go watch exotic birds and butterflies flutter about near the park.

The impressive landscape around the park induces much wonder in a traveller. The mountainous terrain here is part of the Thanon Thong Chai Range, and most of it is forested with both evergreen and deciduous forests that mesmerise the viewer.

If wildlife is what you love to watch, photograph, and take back memories home with you, the park abounds with them. The animals in this habitat include the crocodile salamander and wild boar, while the exotic birds that have made this park their home include eagles, pheasants, bulbuls and parrots.

So, do not hesitate to add this national park to your itinerary, for every minute inside its green spaces is completely worth it.
