Must-eat in Vietnam – Thit Nuong

Grilled, braised, minced, and flavoured with a variety of herbs, spices, sauces and curries – that’s how we’ve seen the Southeast Asians cook their pork. Their cuisine makes sure that flavours and aromas take precedence over anything else in the kitchen, giving us the perfect dishes to dig into.

Vietnamese cuisine is packed with amazing dishes which are so flavourful they will entice you from the word go. One such dish is Thit Noung, a type of Vietnamese grilled pork. This dish is a bowl full of flavour, spice and everything Asian. It’s got a sprinkling of spring onions, roasted cashews, thinly sliced vegetables and assorted herbs and spices which are wonderfully authentic.

The smell of sizzling pork grilled to perfection, decorated with shallots, garlic, lemongrass and honey, is enough you send you into a tizzy. A little bit of fish sauce and sesame oil is also added to Thit Nuong, to give you an authentic Vietnamese delicacy. The mixture of veggies, pork and condiments accompany a bowl of vermicelli rice noodles, making Thit Nuong a beautiful dish.

It’s served with a side of dipping sauce which adds a lot of flavour to this Vietnamese delight. Make sure you sample this must-eat in Vietnam – Thit Nuong.
