Lombok Island

Lombok Island or Islamic Lambok, is situated in the West Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia, 35 km east of Bali. It is populated by Sasak people. The Lombok Strait separates it from Bali to the west and the Alas Strait between it and Sumbawa to the east. The island shadowed by its neighbour’s fame is blessed with epic surf, exquisite white-sand beaches, rice and tobacco field hiking trails, lush forested interior, and rich tropical allure. This island also houses the Gunung Rinjani, Indonesia’s second highest mighty volcano whose summit is full of hot springs and shining Crater Lake.

Lombok’s capital and main city is Ampenan-Mataram-Cakranegara-Sweta. It has an average temperature of around 33 degree Celsius. Indonesia is blessed with warn tropical weather as it is positioned directly over the South Equator. This is the perfect for tourists to tan on stunning beaches, drive through clear aquamarine oceans, and enjoy the tropical paradise.

The island is refreshing with its wide-open spaces, less traffic and pollution, un-spoilt beaches, breathtaking turquoise bays, world-class surf breaks, and massive headlands. All this makes a trip to Indonesia a wonderful travel experience.
