Korean Scallion Pancake (Pajeon)

 Pajeon or the traditional Korean pancake, in Korea makes for a healthy appetizer. It can be paired with many healthy fillings to make it a wholesome meal. You can prepare the pancake using flour, eggs, scallions and serve it with some spicy dipping sauce.

Tofu and Meat Patties (Wanja Jun)

The Wanja Jun belongs to the Korean food group called jun-ya, any vegetables, sea food or meat, covered in flour and egg which is then pan-fried. It is easy to prepare, and uses beef, tofu, eggs, and flavours for seasoning.

The Myulchi Bokum is full of crunchy flavours, is easy to prepare and is healthy. This uses dried anchovies, soy sauce, mirin and seasoning and makes for a delectable side dish.


Korean Braised Tofu

Like Australians, Korean’s love their tofu, and a meal with tofu makes for a savoury dish. Braised tofu is prepared using tofu, anchovy stock and garnished with sesame seeds, making for a healthy, ‘sweet and spicy’ side meal.
