March 26 to April 8, 2015
Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney
Easter Sunday is held in great reverence in all countries where Christianity has a stronghold. In many countries, it is also a national holiday. Since Easter falls on a Sunday, Easter Monday is often declared a holiday.
Easter is an important holiday in Australia, particularly in Sydney, a city which hosts the Sydney Royal Easter Show every year. The event is so huge, that it sees a footfall of approximately 900,000 people each year. It celebrates Australian culture like no other event, with a lot of pomp and fanfare involved.
There are agricultural competitions, fun carnivals, a bit of shopping and much more. The event promises to be an action-packed extravaganza, with unlimited entertainment on the cards – with an international rodeo, polo contests and woodchop, this is an unusual yet exciting festival in Sydney.
Several stalls are set up all over the park, where arts and crafts will be on display. Also adding to the festivities are over 400 retail outlets and 160 to 170 stalls plating up a range of delicious foods for visitors to dig into.
So, head on over to Sydney Olympic Park on Easter Sunday for a fun-filled weekend party!
