Guilin, China

The Gongcheng Peach Blossom Festival is celebrated for about two weeks in March, when spring visits China. With peach trees in full bloom, this colourful festival welcomes people from all around the world to appreciate the beauty of peach blossoms.

During this blossom festival, a wide range of activities are held, including a fun-filled opening ceremony, musical and dance performances, calligraphy show and bonfire night.

Every year, the Confucius-worshipping Activity is part of this festival. It is one of China’s oldest activities. The Confucius Temple in Gongcheng Town showcases traditional performances in the ceremony. Oil tea is one of the specialties of Guilin’s minority peoples, and so, there is an Oil Tea Cultural Festival which is part of this event. This special tea has a beautiful colour, strong smell, and tasty flavour.

With so much to embrace, the Gongcheng Peach Blossom Festival is one of China’s most-loved festivals.
