Slow cooked American ribs with an Asian flavour!

Cuisine :

Chinese

Ingredients :

1 1/2 kilos American spare-ribs
Jar of Lee Kum Kee Char-Siu sauce
15mL Fish Sauce
50mL Light Soy-Sauce
50mL Worcestershire Sauce
100mL Chinese Rice Wine
Chilli
Spring Onion

Cooking Steps :

1) Place ribs in a large pot
2) Add Fish, Worcestershire, wine, char-siu and soy sauce into pot
3) Mix well together and marinate in the fridge for 6 hours
4) Once marinated, make sure grill plates and BBQ is flaming hot
5) Transfer ribs to BBQ, grill for two minutes on each side (do not fully cook)
6) Place ribs into a slow cooker (cast-iron works well) and cover with foil
7) Set BBQ to medium, close lid and make sure temperature reads to 160°C
8) Leave to slow cook for two hours (be sure to check and turn meat every 30 minutes)
9) Once meat is soft and falls off the bone it's ready to serve
10) Garnish with chilli and spring onions
