Gau choy fa, or Chinese flowering chives is a traditional Chinese delicacy, considered more flavourful than regular chives. It is generally available at the end of summer and can be stored for upto a week in paper-lined plastic containers in the refrigerator. You can enjoy Gau choy fa the Chinese way by blanching it lightly with the small white bud intact. You can also use it the way you use regular Gau Choy.
